December 15th:A Cold Poem Day in the North East

Winter's chill has come to town
In the North East of England's crown
The air is cold and crisp and still
As light snow begins to fill
The streets and trees, a wintry scene
Of pure and peaceful, white serene

The sky is grey, the air is thin
As the snowflakes gently spin
They dance and swirl, a gentle show
Falling softly, to and fro
A blanket forms upon the ground
A picturesque and peaceful sound

The town is quiet, hushed and still
As the snowfall seems to chill
The air, the ground, the people too
All wrapped in winter's icy hue
But still, the town persists and thrives
A testament to northern lives

Though winter's grasp may be severe
The town persists, it does not fear
For in the cold and snow and ice
There is a beauty, pure and nice
A reminder of the changing seasons
And the wonders of the natural reasons
