Life Through Time

Life starts with a spark of joy

From a baby to a boy

Giggles and laughter, no worries in sight
A time of innocence, before life takes flight

As we grow, we learn to take the good with the bad
Trials and tribulations, happiness and sad

The teenage years bring on a new set of challenges
School, friends, and love, so many changes

The twenties are a time of exploration
New experiences and ideas, a life of cultivation

The thirties are about settling down
Marrying and building a family, a stable foundation

In the forties and fifties comes the time to grow
Career and family, a time to sow

The sixties bring on a new stage of life
A time to enjoy and reap the fruits of our strife

The seventies and eighties, a time to look back
To appreciate and reflect, the memories we track

The nineties and beyond, a time of peace and grace
Wisdom, reflection and the slowing of pace

Life is a journey, an adventure and a race
Filled with highs and lows, we grow with each passing phase.

Life starts so sweet and simple,
A child so full of joy,
A twinkle in their eyes,
As they play with their toy.

They will grow and learn,
The highs and the lows,
The good and the bad,
And the rain and the snow.

They'll learn of love,
And the joy that it brings,
They'll feel despair,
And the hurt it can sting.

They'll strive to succeed,
And they'll fail some too,
They'll learn of friendship,
With others they'll share and renew.

The years pass by,
The child has grown old,
The body is tired,
But the spirit remains bold.

Life has been lived,
The good, the bad and worse,
The highs and the lows,
The joy and the curse.

The life is now done,
The child is a pensioner,
The memories remain,
Of life at its zenith and zenith.
