To See the Sunrise Poem

The night before Christmas,
I lay in my bed,
Thinking of all the joy,
That the holiday would bring.

But as I drifted off to sleep,
I couldn't shake the fear,
That I wouldn't wake up,
To see the sunrise clear.

I thought of all the gifts,
I had yet to unwrap,
And the loved ones waiting,
To see my face light up.

But as I lay there,
Wondering what the next day would bring,
I remembered the true meaning,
Of this time of year.

It's not about the presents,
Or the feast we'll share,
It's about being together,
And showing love and care.

So even if I'm not there,
To see the sunrise the next morning,
I know that I am loved,
And that's what keeps me going.

Merry Christmas to all,
And to all a good night.
May your days be filled with love,
And your hearts ignite.
