Thoughts of Aging

As we age
We look at life so strange
The years are fleeting, so fleeting and so strange

We look back on our youth
And reminisce on the truth
The times of joy and happiness so long gone

The wrinkles start to form
The lines around our eyes so strong
We look in the mirror, and we see our age

The gray hairs start to show
Our voices start to go
We can feel our youth slipping away

Our joints start to ache
Our skin starts to break
We know that time has come to stay

We look at life so strange
Our minds start to change
Our energy starts to drain

We look back on our past
And we remember this fast
The days of joy and laughter so long gone

As we age
We look at life so strange
And we accept our age
With strength and grace.

Aging is a process we can’t control,
It creeps up on us, like a thief in the night.
We look in the mirror and start to see wrinkles,
Our skin starts to sag and our hair starts to thin.

We can’t turn back time, no matter how hard we try,
The years keep on coming and pass us by.
We look back on our youth, with the fondest of memories,
But we’re slowly learning to embrace our age.

We’re wiser and stronger than we ever thought we’d be,
We’ve lived through hardships and come out stronger and free.
We accept the signs of aging with grace,
And take comfort in knowing life doesn’t stay the same.

We have scars, a reminder of the life we’ve lived,
A journey that has made us the person we are today.
We’ve gained knowledge and experience along the way,
That has made us wiser and more mature with age.

We can now look back on our life with pride,
For we’ve grown and changed in ways we never imaged.
We accept the signs of aging and embrace the years,
For we’ve come to understand that life passes so quickly.
