Love thy Self

 

 

 Self Love...

I love me more than I can say

My heart is warm and my soul is brave

I don't always feel this way

But I'm embracing my flaws today

I'm flawed and I'm flawed indeed

But I'm learning to accept and concede

That my self worth isn't defined by what I can do

But by being uniquely me, just as is true

I'm learning to accept my short comings

To love and embrace the things that I'm not becoming

No more trying to fit in the mold

I'm a diamond, I'm precious, I'm beautiful and bold

I'm learning to be kind to myself

To look in the mirror and just be myself

No more should I strive to be something I'm not

Just be me, and that's all I've got

I'm learning to respect myself

And love my flaws and all the rest

I'm learning to be content in my skin

And give myself the love I've been missing
