What time is it?
It's time to take a break,
From all the stress and strain,
And have a little time to shake,
All the worries down the drain.
It's time to put away,
The books and calendars too,
And take a little time to play,
Maybe do something new.
It's time to take a rest,
From all the noise and hustle,
And take a little time to zest,
Life up with a little tussle.
It's time to be a kid,
And get back in the swing,
To laugh and giggle like you did,
When it was still spring.
It's time to catch a breath,
And look around with glee,
To laugh and smile and not forget,
It's time for you and me.
Time, oh time, what a funny thing to be
A thing that passes so quickly, yet so slowly
You can pass like a snail, or like a race car
You can take forever, or you can pass like a star
So what time is it you might ask?
Well, it's the same time it always has
It's the time for a nap, or for a bite
It's the time to run, or to stay and fight
It's the time for a hug from a dear old friend
It's the time to start, or to come to an end
But what time is it really, you might still inquire
It's the time to have fun, and never tire
So don't waste your time, don't ever lag
For time is the one thing, you can never have back
